It has certainly been an interesting year for all of us, and we hope that you and your families continue to be well.

With all of the problems and uncertainties that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused, we have all missed many opportunities to enjoy live performances of the Bluegrass and Old Time music that we care so much about, and we look forward to better times when we will be able to resume our normal activities.

Although we have had to cancel or postpone all of our recent live concerts and the 49th Annual Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival, The Brandywine Friends have kept working to support and preserve Old Time, Bluegrass and Traditional music. We have continued with our Newsletter, presented video highlights of previous DVBG Festivals this past Labor Day Weekend, and created video samplers from our concerts, available on the BFOTM website (https://brandywinefriends.org).

We have managed to sustain our all-volunteer organization during this tough time, and we enthusiastically look forward to resuming our live” events as soon as possible. While our normal sources of revenue (DVBG Festival, concerts, donations, dues, etc.) have either disappeared or dwindled, we have continued to incur significant expenses, thereby reducing our reserves and working capital.

That is why, today, we are asking you to consider a generous, tax-deductible, donation to The Brandywine Friends of Old Time Music. In order for us to regroup and resume” as conditions improve, we need to ensure that our all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization remains financially sound, enabling us to continue our mission. Just click on the Donate link on the left to make your secure tax-deductible donation through PayPal today, or mail your donation to: The Brandywine Friends of Old Time Music, P.O. Box 3672, Greenville, DE 19807.

We are counting on you, our members, fans, sponsors and donors to help us reach our goal of $15,000 within the next few weeks. Not only have the members of our Board of Directors given of their time and talents, but each of them has also donated to this campaign, as we hope you will. The results of this campaign will go a long way in helping us to bounce back” and will enable us to plan for and resume our live activities as soon as possible.

We thank you for your past support and look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Here's a message from our old friend, the 2020 IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year Danny Paisley

And a word from the Queen of Bluegrass, 2017 Grammy Winner Rhonda Vincent
